Till now there is no clear explanation of how it started. It is said to be accidentally spread from the Wuhan Science lab and it is also said to be started from the Wuhan fishing market, or maybe from bats, A team from WHO (World Health Organization) is still investigating how it started.

Corona Virus was first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, China for a woman. At the end of December 2019 Government of Wuhan, China told that they were treating a large cluster of COVID cases. After some days dozens of Asians were infected by this virus and there is no proper evidence that it was spread by humans.
On January 11 Chinese media released the first death of this virus is a 61 old man who often visits the Wuhan market.
On January 20 Several Countries like the US confirmed cases on their country, The first case that recorded outside China is Japan followed by South Korea and Thailand according to the WHOs report.
On January 30 WHO declared this virus outbreak a global health emergency.
On January 31 US under Trump's administration restricted travelers from China. At this time there are a total of 9800 people had been affected worldwide and 231 deaths.
On Feb. 11 This virus was named Corona Virus by the WHO Within the end of February Italy became one of the main hotspots of this virus.
March 24 India announced a 21-day national Lockdown.
March 26 US became the most infected country in the world with an average of 81,000 cases and 1,000 deaths per day.
April 26 Totally 200,000 people died due to this pandemic and over 2.8 million affected people all around the world according to data collected by New York Times.
May 27 US passes over 100,000 deaths due to virus
June 11 Corona Virus cases in Africa crosses over 200,000 cases
July 17 India reached one million coronavirus cases and 25000 deaths and lockdowns were restarted again. It ranked 3rd in the number of cases nationally behind the US and Brazil.
Aug 11 Russia gave approval to the Sputnik V vaccine and the first country to approve a COVID 19 vaccine
Aug 22 reached 800,000 deaths globally due to virus infections.
Oct 2 President trump tested positive for the coronavirus.
Oct 24 Poland's President Andrej Duda tested positive for corona.
Nov 5 England entered national lockdown
Nov 8 US crossed 10 million infections nationally.
Dec 8 Vaccination was started in the UK.
Dec 20 London entered into a severe lockdown.
Situations In India :
In the early time of 2021, India released lockdowns restrictions as cases started declining however it led to the second wave of COVID 19 in March 2021 and cases again started to rise in India and the country reimposed lockdown.., Situations in North India became even worst and hospitals ran out of beds and oxygen and many people loss their jobs and business people experienced a severe loss particularly street vendors. Poor people became even poor.
Impact :
Millions lost their job during this lockdown and companies and countries had to face a serious economic down problem. Poor people became even poor. However, the positive impact was pollution was largely controlled last year due to lockdown as there is no movement of automobile and other factories which resulted in pollution control of air as well as water resources.
Prevention is better than cure :
